Dad’s Bio

Sports Medicine Physician and overgrown child with a knack for DIY projects. I am a natural adventurer. As a child I was raised around drag racing and off road racing. Giving a kid the keys to a top fuel induced puberty supercharged my interest in alternative sports. As a Dad, I love giving my kids the experiences that shaped my view of the world. A view that says “just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s wrong.” I hope my involvement as a physician in the action sports world gives encouragement that being educated doesn’t mean being boring. It means having the ability to recognize more opportunities for fun.

Early on

Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s as a “Latch Key Kid” I naturally gravitated towards the action sports. I grew up pushing limits but also being the voice of reason for my core group of friends. I pride myself in finding humor in all situations. If you are not having fun its because you are doing it wrong.

Current

I work as a Sports Medicine Physician taking care of multiple college teams, X Games athletes, and various events for Vans. This presents a unique opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me in terms of my childhood. I am now enjoying being a Dad and using my experience to teach anyone that wants to listen.
