Mom’s Bio

Biologist by trade turned full time mom. I enjoy balancing a family of 5 with the adventures of being a parent. I like to make sure everyone has fun and often provide that offset to Dads focus on efficiency and education. As a parent, it is important to work together as a team to ensure everyone’s needs are met. I like to focus on ensuring the kids have enough physical activity while Dad makes sure everyone stays safe. Josh and I have been a team for more than 20 years and I am looking forward to many more.

Mom Early on

I grew up in a mountain town and enjoyed outdoor activities. Being from Southern California, I loved the sunshine and hanging out on the beach. I was pretty quiet in school and was a decent student. I became more outgoing when I met Josh. His ability to find adventure in every situation brought out my excitement for the unknown. He was always up for an adventure and loved to include others in the fun. I was adventurous before kids. Everyone told me that kids would change things. We added two more to the family and I have loved every minute of it.

Current

I previously worked in quality control for a water company. This entailed mostly laboratory bench work and lots of paperwork. I made the transition to full time mom after the birth of our first child. However, the cost of child care was more than we were comfortable spending. The net income was only a few hundred dollars more than what I was making at the time. It made more sense to spend time with the kids as opposed to paying someone else to do it.
