One of the more beneficial things from the Covid pandemic was the time at home with the family. However, I know some parents out there were dreading the lock down and I feel your pain. We were struggling to find activities to keep the kids busy just like you. Fortunately, we found the Bouncy Castle.
Of all the random things we purchased, one item routinely stands out. The Bouncy Castle we found on Amazon was a total win. The overall price was around $1400. It came with a blower and everything needed to set up. Although the price seemed high, when you factor in the cost to rent one of these ($300-$500) for a party, it makes sense.
Money Well Spent
This however, was easily the best purchase we made. This item not only is still seeing its use today but it has come in so handy when the kids friends are at the house and I have to get work done. It was the perfect blend of physical activity when they couldn’t go to the park or school and was a great distraction as well.
It is a really large castle and the durability is also pretty solid. We have had multiple kids bouncing in it without issue. We have had a couple adults in it with them as well at times. The blower that came with it is strong enough to keep it well inflated.
Where to Store it
The only concern we had when we purchased it was the storage aspect. Unfortunately, even when deflated and rolled up it is still really large. We were able to find an outside storage bin that matched our back yard fairly well. The castle will fill the entire thing when rolled up.
There is no need to compulsively fold it to a perfect shape. We just place one end in the bin and start stuffing it in there. Be careful not to hook it on something in the yard so you don’t tear it though. The bin is large and sturdy. Smaller kids could easily stand on it. I don’t think an adult would be able to climb on it without cracking the plastic though.
If you are looking for something to entertain the kids and possibly distract them from interrupting your zoom meetings, this is a must.
